Quadra Hosting supports a very flexible e-mail configuration to suit your needs. The following are the major type of e-mail resources that you can create under your Quadra Hosting's service:
- Mailbox - This is also known as a POP3 Account. This is the most common type of email resource to be used. A Mailbox account actually holds your e-mail messages allowing you to retrieve your e-mail using an e-mail client such as Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, etc.
- Mail Forward - enables you to forward incoming email to one or more email addresses.
- Mail Alias - creates an alias for your existing mailbox. For example, if you have a mailbox account called "john@mywebsite.com", and you would also like to receive email through "john_citizen@mywebsite.com", then create a Mail Alias called "john_citizen" for the mailbox account "john@mywebsite.com". The difference between Mail Alias and Mail Forward above is that Mail Alias can only be an alias for the same domain name, in this case "mywebsite.com". Mail Forward can forward your email to an external email address, such as hotmail.com.
- Mailing List - this is an advanced feature that allows you maintain thousands of subscribers. Each subscriber can subscribe or unsubscribe themselves automatically. Our Mailing List feature is powered by ezmlm mailing list software.
- Mail Auto Responder - enables you to send an automated response whenever someone sends an email to you.
